Faith Required Experience #3
By doing this Family Home Evening, I got some great stories about prayer and how it can strengthen our testimonies.
My Sister said "When I said my prayers to find something, I found it". From this we can learn that Heavenly Father does always hear and answer our prayers.
My Dad said "When we pray, we are more in tune with the spirit, and if we are more in tune, we are more obedient to the spirit". From this we learn that it is very important to pray because it can help us in our daily lives.
My Mom said "When we pray, our days go better because Heavenly Father can use us as tools throughout the day". From this we can learn that if we pray we can have the spirit with us throughout the day, and this can help our days to go better.

The magic spell that made us fall asleep......zzzzzzzzzz.........
Plan for Individual Worth Value Project
-Start date for project: July 5th, 2011
-Completion date for project: Aug. 20th, 2011
-My Project is: To participate in the play "Willy Wonka Jr" at the Empress Theater
-Steps that I will take to carry out this project:
1. Memorize my lines
2. Show up to rehearsals
3. Do my best when I perform
4. Know all of my dances and songs
By doing the play, I learned that with my talents I can make others happy. A few nights ago, one of the ushers brought down a letter to the cast. The letter told of her grandson and how he and his mother had been in an abusive home from the time he was born until a year ago yesterday. It told that the boy did not have much happiness until the night he came to our play. She also told how he would be at the play that night with his Mother who would be seeing it for the first time.
After the show, he got to meet all of us and with his golden ticket, he got to play on the set. Seeing the boy smile as he played made my day.
I had such a fun time doing the play. I made lost of new friends, and loved the directors. I loved how much fun we all had at rehearsals together. I loved doing the play, and I am so sad it's over.
-Total hours spent on the project: 157.5 hours!!!!!!!!

Knowledge Value Project (6-24-2011:6-26-2011)
My Project Plan For Knowledge
-My Project Is: To take a babysitting course to increase my knowledge of CPR and other babysitting skills
-My plan to carry out my project is:
1. Go to the babysitting course everyday
2. Listen good during classes
3. Pass my tests
4. Use the skills that I have learned
Summary of my Project
The first day of our babysitting training, we learned the proper ways to discipline children of different ages. On the second day of our babysitting training, we learned about general First Aid. We also learned about how to fix a bone that may be broken in case the child needs to be transported somewhere. At the end of the second day, we learned to do the Heimlich on infants and children. On the 2nd day we also learned CPR for infants and children as well as rescue breathing for infants and children. The 3rd day we took our tests for CPR certification, First Aid, and our babysitting skills. That day, we also learned how to do CPR, Rescue Breathing, and the Heimlich and general first aid on dogs and cats.
A few fun things we did:
1. An obstacle course
2. A trivia game on fire safety
3. Another trivia game on babysitting preparedness
4. We got to change dummy baby diapers and feed them
I think that this was a good Knowledge value project because the things that I learned can help me with babysitting and make me a better babysitter. These are important skills because they will help me be prepared in case of an emergency and to save a life if necessary.

Paying my tithing has helped my faith grow because I know that the money I pay is going to a good cause. It will go to help build Temples for people around the world to enjoy. Paying my tithing has made me a better person because it has helped me not to be selfish. Some of the blessings that I have received from paying my tithing include the following:
1. Increased Faith
2. Helped me to get more babysitting jobs
3. Made me a better person spiritually
4. Helped me make a habit of paying my tithing
5. Helps me be worthy to go to the Temple

Additional Value Experience #2 (#5 In The Book)
The Atonement
I think the scriptures I read showed how amazing Christ was and is. I think that what he did for us showes how much he cares about us. I love the savior. I think if someone asked me if I would die to save all of these people I might have a hard time saying yes.

Sacerment
When we take the sacerment we renew our covents that we made at baptism. We make a promise that we will try our harest to not sin. When we take the sacerment we are forgiven for our sins. I think that the sacerment is very important for what it represents.
