Integrity Value Project

For my value project, I participated in a year of cheerleading at my school. In doing this, I learned a lot of valuable lessons that I'll always keep with me. I enjoyed most of the time that I spent on my team this year. Being the only LDS member forced me to have to stand alone for my values, and always do what was right no matter what else was going on. I believe that this is part of integrity. This strengthened my testimony.

Divine Nature Additional Value Experience #6

Experience Description: Develop your divine qualities. Read Matthew 5:9; John 15:12; Galatians 5:22–23; Colossians 3:12–17; 1 John 4:21; and Moroni 7:44–48. Memorize your favorite verse from one of these passages. Identify the divine qualities mentioned in all these scriptures and list them in your journal. Select one quality, and for two weeks strive to make it a part of your daily life. Record your progress and experiences in your journal.
Journal Entry: I picked patience as the divine quality I wanted to work on. In this, I saw relationships between my friends and family grow a lot. I was trying to be more patient with my little sister, and it helped us get along better.

Choice & Accountability Required Experience #2

Value Experience: Read the pamphlet For the Strength of Youth. List in your journal each standard of righteous behavior the pamphlet outlines, and record why it is important to choose to live those standards. Practice living righteous standards by choosing three standards in which you need to improve. After three weeks share your progress with your family, your class, or a leader.

Journal Entry: Participating in this experience helped me realize the importance of The Strength of Youth Pamphlet. I chose to work on: Family, Education, and Repentance. Keeping education in mind, I was able to get my best GPA of the year. Keeping family in mind, I was able to get along better and grow stronger relationships with my family members. Keeping repentance in mind, I was able to understand the importance of repenting daily.
Participating in this helped my faith and testimony grow stronger.

Individual Worth Required Project #3

Experience Description: Read D&C 18:10 and 121:45. Do all you can to build others and make them feel of worth. Every day day for 2 weeks notice the worthwhile qualities and attributes of others. Acknowledge them verbally or in writing. In your journal write about what you have learned about the worth of individuals and how your own confidence grows when you build others

Journal Entry: When you have others in mind your days go a lot better. You realize the worth of others, and you care more about them and where they are coming from. Everyone on this Earthis one of God's children, which he loves very much. Everyone is equally important in the sight of God. He loves us all unconditionally. When you look at people that way, it helps you develop a new appreciation for everyone you encounter. It makes it easier to love and tolerate others.

Knowledge Required Value Experience

Experience Description: Memorize Article of Faith number thirteen and recite it to a parent, leader, or another adult. Then visit a museum or exhibit or attend a performance that involves dance, music, speech, or drama. Using the article of Faith as a guide, evaluate what you saw and heard. In your journal write your thoughts about how you can use this article of faith as a guide for all you do so the Holy Ghost will be your constant companion. Share those thoughts with a parent or a leader

Journal Entry: The play that I went and saw was called The Christmas Box. It was all about Christmas time. It connected in a lot of ways to the 13 articles of faith. The play was about Christ, love, compassion, and family.

If I follow everything in this article of faith, it will help ensure that I will always be in a place where the Holy Ghost can dwell with me.

Good Works Required Value Experience #3

Experience Description: Read18:7-10, and in your journal list 3 ways you can comfort others or help them bear their burdens. Do the things on your list, and tell a family member or a leader about the experience and how your attitude and understanding have changed.

Journal Entry: Sometimes doing something as small as listening to someone can help a lot. Being there for people and helping them through something can also help. Like the scripture says, We should mourn with those who mourn and comfort those that stand in need of comfort.

Some things that  I have done that display this are:
1. Helping my sisiter with a school issue
2. Helped 2 friends at school who had a fight
3. Helped a friend who was sad when one of their parents moved away

Individual Worth Required Value Experience #1

Experience Description: Read the following set of scriptures, and write in your journal how these scriptures teach you that Heavenly Father knows you, loves you, and is mindful of you:

Psalm 8:4-6: He is our creator

Jeremiah 1:5: He knew us before we came to Earth

John 13:34: He wants us to love eachother and he tells us that he loves us

D&C 18:10: We are great in the sight of God

Abraham 3:22-23: Our creation and mission on Earth was foreordained

Joseph Smith History 1:1-20:  He brought back the church by prompting Joseph Smith. He delivered Joseph Smith from the influence of Satan
