Knowledge Additional Value Experience (#4 in manual)

I wrote a talk on keeping the Sabbath Day holy. I talked last week in Sacrament meeting. I learned that it is very important to keep the Sabbath Day holy, and it will help us in our normal everyday lives. I have listed my talk below:

Good morning Brothers and Sisters, I was asked to speak on the topic "Keeping the Sabbath Day Holy". I was sort of shocked. I got home and told my Mom, "This is totally not fair. I have only been in YW for not even a year, and I am already asked to speak". So, sorry that you guys have to listen to me. But, I hope I am prepared enough to at least not bore everyone to death.
(Read Exodus 20:8-9), The "For Strength of Youth" pamphlet states" "The Lord has given the Sabbath Day for your benefit, and has commanded you to keep it holy". The Lord has commanded us to keep this commandment. There are a lot of things that we should always be doing on Sundays, such as: reading our scriptures, going to church, doing Personal Progress and Duty to God, writing in our journals about our week, etc.
There are so many more important things that we need to be doing on Sundays other than hanging out with our friends or going to the movies. (Read D&C 59:10), There is a part in the "For Strength of Youth" pamphlet that states: "The Sabbath Day will give you rest & rejuvenation".
I personally think that the Sabbath Day should be a day of rest from all other outside activities, and to be a day that we are with our families and not our friends. My family does FHE on Sundays. I like this because I think it completes the idea of being with your family and doing spiritual things on Sunday.
I think that our dress on Sunday can help us keep the mood of it still being Sunday even though church is out. The "For Strength of Youth" pamphlet says: "Your dress during, before, and after church meetings should show respect for the Sabbath". Now, I am not always the best at this, but I am trying to be better. I don't know about all of you, but the first thing I want to do after church is to change into my pajamas.
I think another very important thing we should all be doing on Sundays is having Sunday dinner with our families. I think we should be doing this because I think Sundays are the day of the week that the family should talk about their week and get a game plan for what everyone is doing.
In closing, I would like to leave you with my testimony. I think the Sabbath Day is the most important day of the week. I think we should all try our hardest to keep it holy. I know this church is true. I know that President Monson is a true Prophet of God, and I am so glad that I have the opportunity to be a part of this church.
